2013 Christian Community Music Awards (CCMA) – The Most Wanted


The most wanted awards; designed to showcase and celebrate the best of our local and foreign Christian artistes and their songs is slated for 18th May 2013 at the National Theatre,7pm sharp. The 2nd edition of the most wanted awards by the Christian Community Microfinance Limited seeks  to celebrate creativity hence its theme” Creatively Impacting Lives”. CCML is a fast growing microfinance company that seeks to introduce its clients to a life of potential and opportunity that goes beyond finance; The Uncommon Life. Being a firm believer in music as one of the effective and powerful instrument for spreading the gospel CCML has been a major sponsor of the ‘most wanted awards’ since 2012.

Over 40 songs have been nominated under ten categories namely; most wanted worship, praise, contemporary, traditional, African, reggae, song with a cause, rap, inspirational and choral. The winners in the ten categories make up the 10 most wanted. The idea is to select one of the 10 songs based on voting from the general public and a board as the most wanted song of the said year.

The event promises to be a total improvement of last year’s. Category winners will be presented with awards and cash prizes that will be invested for them at CCML over a period of 5years. Renowned Nigerian artiste; Samsong whose song ‘Bianule’ was voted the most wanted song in 2011 will grace the occasion with nominated song “Odogwu”. Headlining the event are some of the finest of Ghana’s gospel artistes as Cwesi Oteng; who has earned for himself the highest number of nominations for this year’s most wanted, sensational gospel singer OJ;who recently released his hot new single “Ma ye se mo pen”, singer and vocal coach Helen Yawson. The winner of last year’s most popular Ghanaian song award; Kofi Dua Anto who has earned himself another nomination this year, is set to perform his highly controversial song “Nsem pii”.
